Hip Wear
Hip wear - how we all love and celebrate our Tribal Belly Dancing Hips! You can choose to buy a pre-made tribal belly dance belt as is or have it customised with fringe, tassels, coins, flowers, cowrie shells or whatever lovely things I may have in stock. Just make sure that you wear your Blackwillow Tribal item with attitude and shake those belly-dancing hips!
All Blackwillow designed and made belts can be made to fit any hip-size and prices may differ slightly from those shown on this page. When ordering you will be required to give a hip size and where appropriate a length from hip to ankle for panels/fringe.

All of the following belts are original Banjara pieces (at least 30 years old) with ties added to make mirror belts. Most have mirrors that show age, or that have even disappeared over time which just adds to their charm. Colours are not as true as they could be but I will describe the main colours in each item.
Red base with mostly hot pink embroidered edging, 29" long x 3.5" wide.

Earthy coloured base which has deep red, blue, green and orange embroidery with intricate beadwork around the mirrors. All mirrors are intact and feature age discolouration. 24" x 3" deep.

Dark base fabric holds all of its original mirrors. Embroidery work is dark blue, hot pink and purple. Original white beadwork is still in place. 252 long x 3.52 wide. £10.00
This very old piece still amazingly has all of its mirrors. Faded pink blue and purple embroidery is finished off with lots of original beadwork. 26.5" long x 3.52 wide. £10.00
A dark neutral base shows the fabulous embroidery colours of turquoise blue, hot pink and orange. Only one original mirror is cracked and all beadwork is intact. 23" long x 3.5" wide. £10.00
Three lovely layers of mirrors embellish this base. All mirrors but one are intact and all beadwork is still present. Colours are magenta/purple, blue and pink. 28.5" long x 3.5" wide. £15.00
Vibrant blue base features aubergine and hot hot pink embroidery with all mirrors and beadwork intact. A very vibrant piece. 26" long x 3" wide. £10.00
Lovely Olive green base has ornage and hot pink embroidery. All mirrors are intact and some beads are missing but this does not alter the charm of theis piece. 26" long x 3" wide. £10.00
Pale green base featues deep pink embroidery. All mirrors are intact and some beadwork remains. 22" long x 3" wide. £6.00
